You can't imagine my delight when I found out that my name Allison means "Truthful." Coincidence? Is there really such a thing? I have come to see that everything in life happens for a reason. Life gives us lessons, even in adversity, we can find an advantage. Discovering the meaning of my name has added to my conviction. It is no wonder that I am also known as the "Speak Up Guru."
My mission is to live and lead authentically and to empower others to do the same.
I am currently working on my first book. I am toying with the simple title, "Joy." While I, like most people have experienced many ups and down over the course of my years, I choose Joy. Why? Not because it's easy, but because it is a powerful life force that lives within us all and drives us to our truth, our best self.
I know it is a concept hard for many to embrace. My first coaching company, More Joy Now, failed because most of my prospects felt joy was too big of an ask. Okay, enough said, but "Still I Rise," as Maya Angelou said so eloquently. And so I have, opening up my more successful company, Rise Leadership, LLC. We are dedicated to empowering leaders and educators to RISE: Reach, Inspire, Serve, and Elevate!
We are only limited by the things that we allow to limit us. The keys to happiness and success are already within. You just need someone to show you the lock and encourage you to open the door.
After a divorce, job loss, and threat of homelessness; I decided to choose JOY. That simple decision has made all the difference in my life. Even in the the face of Adversity, there is Advantage. By simply choosing Joy, Joy rises us to meet us.

This presentation provides a foundation for understanding Executive Presence (EP), also referred to as the “IT,” “Wow,” or “Hidden” Factor. It covers the role that Executive Presence plays in career advancement, business success, and overall growth. Executive Presence involves a composite of attributes (mindset and skill-set combined). For that reason, “IT” is not easily understood, especially by those in the early stages of their careers. Executive Presence is considered by many CEOs and top leaders as the key to their success. The good news is that Executive Presence is a skill you can learn and cultivate.
